ANPR Solutions

Automatic number plate recognition solutions for vehicle entry, exit and parking workflows. We assess your cameras, site conditions and integration requirements before defining the deployment.

Vehicle entry and exit

Build a searchable record of vehicle movements at defined access points. Agree what evidence, timestamps and review steps your operation needs.

Parking operations

Explore plate-based arrival and departure records for your parking workflow. Payment, permit and barrier integrations are assessed separately.

Logistics and facilities

Connect vehicle observations with approved site workflows such as visitor review, dispatch records or security investigation. Define data ownership and access first.

Begin with the lane, not a recognition promise

A plate must be visible in the captured image before software can read it. We review camera angle, distance, lane width, vehicle speed, lighting and glare. Existing CCTV may be suitable, but a general surveillance view can be too wide or poorly positioned for number plates. Bring representative day and night footage and a simple drawing of the entrance. A compatibility review identifies whether camera adjustments or dedicated capture hardware are needed.

Separate recognition from access decisions

Reading a number plate is one step. Matching a permit, asking a guard to review an unfamiliar vehicle, recording an exit or triggering an approved barrier action are separate workflow decisions. We define what happens when a plate is unreadable, partially visible or does not match a record. Gate-control integrations require an agreed fallback and manual override. Recognition alone should not be treated as proof of a driver’s identity or authorization.

Validate against the vehicles your site sees

A pilot should include the actual plate formats, vehicle types, traffic density and operating conditions at your site. Review complete plate reads, incorrect reads, missed vehicles and duplicate records separately. Define an acceptance process with the people responsible for the entrance. Accuracy claims from a different environment are not a substitute for testing your lanes. Deployment scope, compute requirements and supported integrations are confirmed from that assessment.

Plan the records and the operating handoff

Decide who may search vehicle records, what images are retained, how long records are needed and how exceptions are corrected. Identify who maintains permit lists and who responds when a camera or network connection fails. For a useful enquiry, share site type, lane count, current camera models, expected vehicle flow and the action you want to trigger. We can then discuss the proposed system, pilot boundaries and implementation effort.

Can ANPR use our existing CCTV cameras?

Possibly. We check whether plates are readable at the required capture point, along with stream access, lighting and camera placement. Some sites need repositioning or dedicated cameras.

Can it connect to a boom barrier or parking system?

We assess the controller or system interface, operating rules and manual fallback before confirming integration. A plate read and a gate-opening decision are separate parts of the workflow.

How much does an ANPR solution cost?

Cost depends on lanes, camera suitability, processing hardware, storage, integrations and support needs. A site brief lets us scope a pilot and prepare an appropriate proposal.

Is a fixed recognition accuracy guaranteed?

No blanket accuracy is promised. Performance must be measured on representative footage and operating conditions, with agreed handling for unreadable or uncertain plates.
